Call us what you may, but we had a ball….diving….recording…..surveying…

Boarded Monday with a little prior knowledge of what to expect but very little knowledge about the subject critters. Disembarked a much wiser person with many projects in mind. A great week with great people!

It’s been a great week, and I’ve learnt lots from my peers and from the people from Utas, TAFI, and OceanTrek. My vertebrate and invertebrate identification skills have improved, and I feel like I can make a contribution to this great project. It’s been a really fun and challenging week, and I’d recommend OceanTrek, and the Reef Life Survey! Thanks guys. Jason Hoare, Sydney.

Was that a Crimson Banded Wrasse, an Eagle Ray or a Pigmy Leatherjacket? WHY WONT THEY STOP SWIMMING I AM TRYING TO COUNT YOU! That is what I was thinking on the first day, but as the week went on I became more and more comfortable in identifing and counting the various species around Jervis Bay. Dave Chillari, Sydney.

God I am glad I didn’t have to count mado on the last dive! It has been a great week and I have learnt heaps, now I have to go and enter some more data. Thanks Lyn, Mick, Bob and Julie for making it all so comfortable. Jenny B Sydney

Huge learning curve on the fish species ID. I wish I had a sheet of anticipated species with latin names and pictures to study prior to the trip. Excellent opportunity to meet divers from other areas and learn scientific survey methods. Additional non-survey dives would have been g leasappreciated. Another great dive trip on Oceantrek. Jon E., Sydney

A great dive week with loads of information and lots of fun, with so much more to learn. Ready for a new chapter in my diving experience. A great group of people to dive with. Jen Hine, Canberra

Best livaboard experience yet! Well done M, L, B & J (no L plates now). Mike are you sure that it wasn’t you the voice of Shrek? Lyn is definitely the voice of Trek. Will be back. Thanks. P.S. You are all welcome in SA – I’m contactable on jbrook@picknowl.com.au

What a great experience. Great crew, great dives, very interesting learning experience. Rick and his crew are a great team. Now we are on our own, lets hope it all sunk in. Big thanks to to all the crew of Ocean Trek. Paul A, Canberra.
