Shortie Wetsuit Diving 5th May 2008
Nicholas- Hazy is the ocean floor from the anchor chain at a windy surface. A world untold, perilous, and beautiful lies fathoms below. Colours unknown and creatures unnamed lie in wait for divers anew. While bubble’s rise to trail our story and give no hint as to what we behold. This ocean gives birth to stories for all, on this Australian ocean Trek. Charlotte- A group of 22 divers arrived on board Ocean Trek Diving Resort late on Friday night. The night was clear and fresh, all were rugged up in jumpers and jackets. Despite the cooler weather when morning broke it was a glorious sunny day with still crystal blue waters. Under the water we spotted Weedy Seed Dragons everywhere and while on board we saw a seal frolicking around not to far from the boat. Shani – Oh My God! I’ve never been that cold in my life! But still, couldn’t miss the dives! Beautiful conditions, sunny days, cold wind and the amazing underwater lives…this is Jervis Bay for you in MayJ On board you can find friendly, very professional crew, good food and plenty of that, very good atmosphere and a comfy beds after a long eventful day! Karin- Shortie Wetsuit Diving? Definitely not for me! DRY SUIT is the only way to go! Did all 6 dives – a 100% increase over my last OT weekend a few weeks ago! What a great weekend if you don’t get wet! The food and service was fabulous as always on OT and the Weedy’s and Baby PJs are soooo cute! Great weekend – can’t wait for the next one! J J J Lisa Harris – Thank you for the privilege of getting to be a true part of the undersea world. The thrill of watching the flocks of fish over the rocky hills of coral and sponges was incredible. Seeing creatures I had never seen before, and old friends in a new setting, was wonderful. You guys have an excellent mix of friendliness with professionalism that truly set off our first live-aboard experience. Look forward to coming again!!! Rob P. Well, I tried to do the whole thing in the short wetsuit, but I went soft at the end. The diving was excellent. Thank you for keeping the guarantee of good visibility. Nice colours and great life. The crew took great care of us and the weather was fantastic. What else could we ask for? Nothing. Great show. Davina Definitely worth the trip out here. Jervis Bay! Ah, what a perfect a way to spend a weekend in May! That is, if you can cope with the water temps, and keep all your body parts….(dry suit is definitely recommended). Highlights were the baby port Jackson, fiddler rays, man size wobbegongs, and cant forget the little creatures too; weedy sea dragons and biting clams. There was a happy, warm, professional crew, who provide plenty of assistance and who look after you well with an abundance of food – don’t pass on the muffins. Carolyn Wonderful weekend – great diving and excellent visibility. Despite wind warnings from the south they never really arrived so sunny days and gentle breeze. As always, a warm and friendly ambience and fun and helpful crew. Thank you again. Jeanette What a wonderful experience. I’m still very much a novice with the camera, but thanks to Kevin my learning experience has begun in earnest. Loved FINDING all those weedies, Jervis Bay must be weedy heaven. Blue devil fish must be the prettiest fish I have seen in our waters, even though they are shy. I had lots of fun trying different camera techniques on photographing baby Port Jacksons, they were awesome. I have even learnt to be a tad more patient!! Wonderful food (always a priority) friendly, helpful staff, wonderful atmosphere, awesome diving. Couldn’t ask for more. |
