The Gang 2009

2-6th Febuary 2009

We’re Back

Robyn, Fiona, Christine, Georgia, Ken, Boris, Dennis, Geoff, Gary, Steve, David, Keith, Kim, Jason, John with Warren, Bobby, Lyn & Mick.

Here I am again on Ocean Trek, although this is the first time on an official Gang Week. With most of the gang all knowing each other and the new commers ufitting in with all the old timers, it was a great week of diving, drinking and telling of stories.

Boris

First time on ocean trek, first time diving in bloody cold water!! We had a ball though, found the crew and "the gang" welcoming and hilarious at times, especially when the bundy was flowing freely! Robyn was particularly entertaining when reminiscing about the shortness of her 70’s outfits!

Georgia and Dave

Well FINALLY cracked my first 1,000 dives, not bad for a ‘Country’ boy!!!! I have had fantastic time with some wonderful friends, dive buddies, drinking partner’s (for twilight’s on the top deck), dive trips & travels. I really appreciate the great times I’ve had over the years & look forward to the times to come as I continue the journey. It is something I have found great satisfaction doing & love the diverse range of folks I get to meet. Thanks to one & all & hope to catch up down the track.

Ken Newham

Well yet another great time was had by "The Gang". It was good good to see all of the gang again. The diving was excellent. So it’s solong until the first week in Feb 2010.

Kimmo

Back again enjoying the good company and cold water! All credit to the hardy souls wearing wetsuits.Party time on the upper deck apre-dive mak and es up for the temperature. Book me in for next year

Steve.

This must be my 7th or 8th trip for the Gang Week and unlike my son’s Darren and Brendan I wouldn’t miss this week for quids. Had a great week as usual saw lots and took some good pic’s and some not so good pic’s. My buddy Ken looked after me as he alrwardways does and I had a great time. The new kids on the block "David and Georgie" were entertaining and lots of fun, they have made me look at different ways to take my photo’s (upside down was their angle of choice). Looking forward to next time .

ROB

First time on Ocean Trek and first time back in JB for 25 years. What a change! Acres of room, lots of comfort, warm showers, cold beer, greqat comonay. If only the water temp was 30 C instead of F. The marine life has stayed the same thankfully – hard to improve on that. Red indian fish, Bleeker’s blue devils, giant culttles, boarfish, weedy sea dragons, schools of yellowtail, kingfish, heaps of nudis. Now I’m lining up for a back to back to catch the things I missed..
