Sleepy Weedy weekend

3rd May 2009

After a nice relaxing 3 hours drive from Canberra, with a quick spot of tarmac rally driving in the middle through Kangaroo Valley, it was time for many of us to have a quick bite of dinner. After a meal and a few drinks, it was time to meet Mick and Priscilla for the short trip to old shrek. Anticipation was building and it was a clear starry night with no breath of wind.

In the distance we heard the sound of Priscilla

There is nothing better living on the water in Jervis Bay eating, drinking and diving in good company. Water temp great, plenty of vis and nothing but perfect conditions. It won’t take much to get get me back for another round. BW

Hatty the cook did a great job keeping us all fed , although the 80’s music at 400 decibels in the morning gave me flaskbacks of stumbling out of some seedy nightclub when I was younger.

Another great weekend of easy diving… As always the crew made us all welcome, and looked after us as well as they always do.

A bit strange to see Hattie as the gally wench, I’m way to used to seeing her out on the dive deck, but Ken more than made up for the loss of Hattie.

Good diving, lots of weedies around the place, and good company once again. You can never fault the crew on Ocean Trek!!!

Had a great weekend of diving. (how easy/nice is it on a live aboard). And now we have the drive back to Canberra to endure. Hopefully no friendly kangaroos like on the trip down. And back to work tomorrow. Tahnks all the crew for looking after us all.

Thanks to the crew for a great weekend. We enjoyed the diving and all the rest. We sure did get to know Bowen Island well. Had a good weekend.
