Friday the Dives Smart crew landed at Jervis Bay ready for a weekend of diving, Mick and Lynn didn’t disappoint, turning on the weather and ocean conditions that made Ed (who was back at home receiving min by min SMS) green with envy.

Over the weekend the Dive Smart ran Nitto, Deep and Advance courses, in near perfect conditions, with vis ranging from 20-30m and temp around 20’

The sites discovered by both first timers and old hands aboard Ocean Trek, were fantastic, Lynn guiding us to the best sites as only a local can.

The list of sea life is long but well worth listing; Seals played with both the deep divers and dives on the Nitrox course on day one, they played in the water as Tank does in the store. Weedy Sea dragons were plentiful, Blue Devil fish, giant cuttle fish, Boar fish, a 7" wobbegong, dolphins, and an Abertross keep everyone’s attention during the interval.

Ocean Trek is an experience everyone must try, the Dive Smart team has already planned our next trip. Being the first time for some of our divers and as the store we wanted the weekend to be a success, the crew went out of their way to help, nothing was too much trouble.

Special mentions to the galley wench who kept us feed, the food was real home style cooking tasted great and there was always plenty of it. Andy moved like the wind making sure everyone had what they needed, the weekend would not have been the same with out him.

Thank you to our hosts Lynn & Mick, Mick kept us all entertained while Lynn made sure we were all comfortable and well looked after. From every one at Dive Smart thanks, and we will see you again this year.

Dive Smart

Had a great weekend of diving, couldn’t ask for better weather or vis. Got to experience taking photographs underwater for the first time which added a new series of challenges and enjoyment to diving. Saw a Bull Ray for the first time (and he was a wopper), and spotted my first pair of Moreish Idols who were a looking a little out of place in the sponge gardens. Can’t wait to go diving again.

Aother great trip. Good food & diving & of course good company. Can’t ask for s for better weekend. As always I will be back to enjoy it.
