First in 2006o o9dea
22nd January 2006 Had a fantastic trip! First time on Ocean Trek for me and I think I came away mostly unpegged! So much great food (can we take Sue home with us???), friendly staff – though don’t fall for the Russian Cocaine (lethal stuff!), fantastic boat. You guys have just thought of everything to make our weekends a load of fun. Met loads of great people – hope to go diving with you again soon! (Ev) Thanks for a fantastic weekend!!! First trip on Ocean Trek, but not the last! Great crew – am feeling very well fed and thoroughly spoilt J Everything was taken care of which left us with a fantastic weekend of relaxing and diving - I feel like I’ve been aboard for ages and am not looking forward to getting back on dry land again!! And great to meet so many top new dive buddies – happy diving! (Suz) It was such awesome weekend away! The people were great (both staff and punters) the dive spots were excellent, the food was plentiful and lovely and the vibe was excellent!!! People were also very tolerant of the late night action crew (there has always got to be a couple of freaks). Anyway well done on all levels! This was my first live aboard experience and I am glad I started here!!!! (Tim L) Great hard working crew. Good boat and excellent diving. Food delicious also more beer (and red cards) next time!!… (Neil & Jenny). Seahorses, rays, eels and a shark, We did five dives in light and one in the dark, We made friends, ate wonderful food, no-one was sick, Our time was made wonderful by Sue, Ken, Andrew, Lyn and Mick. Can’t wait for the next time. (Alice) I’ll be back to catch the phantom pegger???? (three times)….Regan aka "The notorious snorkel". A+ Great trip, came alone and met some good people. Excellent food and staff. The water was a bit cold but the diving was great, wonderful variety of ocean life and rock formations. Perfect weekend! (Sean Buch) I’ve been meaning to come out on OceanTrek for years. It turned out to be every bit as good as I was told and everything I was expecting. I will be back. (Ross Dyson). Mr Weatherman said we were in for a warm pleasant weekend, and true to form he only got it part right. We had an extremely enjoyable weekend, the skies were clear and blue, but we had strong northeasters blowing and dictating the diving, but as always Lyn and Mick were able to find perfect places to dive and were the perfect hosts. The water at first was warm and inviting, but below the surface, under 6mtres the water temp dropped down to a surprising 16c burrrrrr. So the water temp dictated the dives, bringing us up to the shallow depths early and bringing us out of the water sooner than we would have wished. Having just finished lunch, we must say a great thanks to Sue and the excellent fare we consumed. We are looking forward to our next weekend on board. (Meg & Tim)
