It’s a Boy 4th December 2005
At 32 weeks Issac has entered the world…..3rd December 2005…weighing in at a massive 3lb 12oz Great Aunty Lyn was on edge all Saturday as her niece Namoie had gone into premature labour…not surprisingly….Naomie was born at 32 weeks…….the winds were from the West so the diving was determined to be outside the heads along the tall cliffs…and of course zero phone reception all day…….anxiety plus……,the diving was fantastic ,we had three humpbacks…caves ,wreck and walls….the whole boat was waiting in anticipation as we headed back into the Bay at around 5pm …..Lyn was on the bridge holding the phone towards the phone towers trying to get the first hint of a phone signal…beep beep beep ….there it was and the message….It’s a boy…Issac…..yahooooooooo……A quick phone call firstly to the proud grandparents [thinking the parents might still be a bit busy]….very excited grandma had just returned to Gosford [from Penrith]…Issac was born around 10am, she was there when he was born and the Grandfather ,well he had gone to sleep ….very happy but tired. Then with the limited phone reception ,she spoke with the proud parents and got the run down….he has Reddish blond hair and needed a bit of oxygen and he was a great little boy ,who just needs to grow up to come home.
Oh! The diving? Unreal – Spent the first entire day and most of Sunday outside doing Crocodile Head, Devil’s Cauldron, drum and drumsticks, The Wonderer etc, great vis and calm seas despite 1.5m swell and 30kn westerly. Water warming up and sunny skies. Sea spiders and blue devil fish, fancy a sunfish? Unreal. It was great to go down 5 times on my 34th wedding anniversary. The visibility was fantastic despite the recent bad weather and the fish life varied and wonderful. It was good to get outside the heads and dive some spots that you wouldn’t usually go like he Wandra wreck, the Devil’s Cauldron, the Big Drop and the Devil’s Hole. Lyn and Mick made us feel welcome as usual, the food from Carlie-Carly was fit for our celebrations and the ready help from Robin was always welcome. Dennis and Linda As the ONLY person on board new to Ocean Trek, I can honestly say: I’LL BE BACK! Great hosts. Great group of people. Great diving. What more could you ask for? I’ve been adopted into the Ocean Trek family. It’s all good. –Zack Great weekend again thanks Lyn & Mick I did spend a lot of lazy time snoozing & had 2 great dives thanks Al & James my faithful buddies . I’m a great auntie too & My great niece Tayla [sounds like a fish but she hasn’t learnt to dive yet] missed out on seeing me this weekend "coz great auntie Princess Fiona is a diver !! As a regular on Ocean Trek for over 10 years, it was fabulous to finally dive some of the sites "outside" that we have heard so much about. The Wanderer, Devil’s Cauldron, Big Drop… all awesome dives… and great company as usual. Thanks again to Lyn, Mick and the crew - James.
