The Weekend with

"NO NAME"

(or.. Nudibranchs make delicious snacks)

21st May 2006

Six month’s in the making. The stories that we heard; were they true or just some old sea dogs mystical fantasies. Well after a beautiful lamb roast and a few bottles of red' the hand massage with the exotic ointment the gripping yarns started flowing. The fantasies had become reality.

For some the story started at birth, they had no choice but to fulfil their destiny after being named Scuba Steve by Lyn…20 years later he has rightfully fulfilled his destiny. Cameron…."no this way Jess" and Jess "no this way" joined scuba Steve in becoming the latest bravest of the brave and newest of the new, joining the ranks of Ocean Trekkies. Thanks for a fantastic time guys n gals…Dom is Good instructor.

Tis been a grand adventure, though apparently I have to stop (ooh! Look! Something shiny!) being so distracted and keep more along the same path. Seen many, many strange and wonderful creatures , from weedy dragons to sharks, rays, cuttle fish and even some nudibranchs!

Karly’s Kylie (sp?) cooking has been a treat, from the roast to the meringue nudibranchs (who ever thought a slug could taste so good!). Muchos Gracious go definitively to Dom the instructor from the deep, he has taught us to brave the depths, and hopefully come back up from them!

Here is me, signing off till our next auspicious occasion: -Jess Thomas, inquisitive diver extraordinaire.. (newest of the new, bravest of the brave..)

Aaahhhh yeah twas good times, thanks for the name Lyn, its stuck ever since…..

The weekend had a bit of everything. 3 live drops (complete with appropriate music), 18 degree water, 15 – 20 meter visibility, a great group of people and excellent staff made this first weekend aboard Ocean Trek for many a truly memorable weekend. Peter Bell Aqua Action Phillip ACT
