Phil’s Diving Group 11th December 2005
Paul dives Jervis Bay…yea right, Denise tests his camera… Fiona celebrates her birthday Adam decides he’d rather become a LOBSTER! It was before Xmas with all the expectations of a fabulous weekend jam packed with diving and fun. Once all aboard things things appeared normal for Paul. The diving started the entry was a typical stride down to 3m then BUGGER the snot in the ear canal hit with that pain than was only equalled with the shear quantity of under water expletives. The 3m diving in Jervis bay is speculator though as were the forces that were used to correct the ear situation. Ah well the drinking was good combined with a little sun baking. The silver lining is that I will have to return to dive with Ocean Trek again to get under the water further than 3m next time. Thanks Paul. The sun was shining the sea was flat, everything was just as it should be for some sensational diving…. However, there was only one thing that could spoil it all… an unfortunate ear infection… a divers unfriendly friend that always seems to pop up at the most inappropriate times! With the sun out in full force all those not diving or in between diving had the pleasure of baking themselves to a spectacular shade of lobster red… some a little more than others! Although I missed out on the diving, the weekend was all very relaxing (anything beats working!!!) and it definitely means I’ll be back sometime in the near future for a taste of the diving I managed to miss on this trip! Summer, sunshine, ocean and group of friendly divers. That was first holiday weekend and it seemed to be really great beginning. Weather probably forgot we where on holiday, because it was still nice and warm, no rain!!! With sea dragons, eels, wobbies, cuttlefish, and lots more it was really great diving. With beautiful boat and friendly crew it was a good time, just one of those we really deserve. All of us! And I know I will be back. It was a great experience to reacquaint myself with the old "Tropic Queen" of my day in Cairns. I really appreciate the combined efforts of Mick, Lynn, Sue and Ken to ensure that we had a great weekend’s diving. As a amateur diver this is the best diving experience I have ever had, the hospitality was fantastic and the crew were excellent in making our trip one to remember. I will be re-booking in the near future I’m sure. Fellow divers it was great to share this experience with you…Thank you all…. As soon as it is time to leave all I can think of is how and when will I be back on this great live aboard. It is the greatest dive adventure on the east coast of NSW bar none. Arrived. Ate. Drank. Slept. Dived. Ate. Dived. Ate. Dived. Drank. Ate. Slept. Bliss! Thanks for a great Bday weekend! Fiona. Great diving, great hosts, great boat and some good bubble blowing friends. What more could a girl want! Lynn.
